David MARTINEZ, a post-production sound engineer in the audiovisual industry, has worked for many years mixing programmes, documentaries and trailers for television channels. In addition to creating sound, his contact with various image professionals gradually led him to discover the importance of visual storytelling.
The real added value that a tool like the drone could offer in the field of filming became clear as he observed the work of directors and editors, among others.
In 2014, DRONE IT was founded to provide aerial and ground-based filming services. The aim was to deliver edited and mixed, broadcast ready videos and digitally developed photos that could meet the specific needs of directors, producers and creators of audiovisual content.
Naturally, we approached local authorities looking for innovative solutions to document urban planning, management and heritage projects.
As our experience grew, we noticed a shift in market demand. Construction and public works companies, particularly those involved in mega-structure projects, quickly recognized the value of drone technology for managing and monitoring their job sites. Not only can these devices document work progress from unique angles, but they can also be used to inspect complex or hard-to-reach sites.
